After spending more than three years in other departments within Dremio, I decided to make a transition into Sales Enablement.  Not only was this a new role for me, it was a newly created role at Dremio, so defining Sales Enablement and creating a solid foundation were critical to building a successful program that will have a significant impact on Dremio’s revenue generating organization. I should note that prior to taking on this role, I had no experience in enablement. In hindsight, I also now see that I wasn’t even aware of all the responsibilities that fall under Sales Enablement’s purview. 

To ramp me into my new role, I had the pleasure of working with Roz Greenfield from Level213, who was an amazing mentor, teacher, and coach. In our first week of the Sales Enablement Apprenticeship program, we aligned on a set of Dremio company goals, as well as my own personal goals, both of which we accomplished by the end of the program. The program covered everything from instructional design and adult learning, to partnering with key stakeholders and subject matter experts within my organization. Roz patiently worked alongside me, providing guidance as I put my newly learned theory into practice through work on real projects for Dremio. Now that I have graduated from the program, I feel extremely confident in my knowledge base, skills, and ability to create and execute on the scalable and repeatable processes that will drive revenue and success for our GTM team and for our customers.

Before completing Level213's Apprenticeship Program and receiving my Sales Enablement certification, I hadn't received any training in adult learning theory or learning and development - nor was I very clear on what Enablement was as a function within an organization. However, after completing the Apprenticeship Program and continuously leveraging my training from Level213 in my daily work, I was able to manage onboarding and training programs across Sales, CS, and Support in two global offices, implement critical learning and content management tools (LMS, KMS), and spearhead sales kick off events.  

The Apprenticeship Program not only taught me the foundational components of Enablement, but it also provided me with the scaffolding I needed at the right time. The program was meticulously designed to address gaps I didn’t even know were there, and I believe this is a product of Roz and Amanda's extensive experience coaching and mentoring a high volume of professionals. In terms of measurable results, I was able to deliver a 70% decrease in ramp time and 34% increase in team participation to quota. An intangible deliverable of the Apprenticeship Program is the confidence you build from becoming a master of your craft.
